Tables & Bridges

National Practitioner Study

Participant Privacy Notice

Last updated October 5, 2026

This notice explains in plain language what the study collects, how information is handled, and the choices available to participants.

Information collected

The survey does not ask for your agency name. It collects your professional role, state or U.S. territory, Community Engagement experience, work practices, and responses to open-text questions. A random participant token connects saves from the same browser to one study record.

Responses are confidential and pseudonymous, not anonymous. Combinations of answers or details entered in narrative fields could identify a participant.

Browser storage and saving progress

A random participant token and an in-progress draft of research answers are stored in this browser so you can save and return later on the same device. Contact name and email are excluded from that local draft. Submitted answers are saved to the study database through a token-verified process.

Optional contact information

Name and email are optional and are saved only when you select follow-up opportunities and grant follow-up permission. They are stored in a separate contact record, but that record remains linked to your response by an internal submission ID and is visible to authorized study administrators.

Contact information is used only for the opportunities you select and permit. It is excluded from standard research-response exports.

How findings may be used

Findings may inform Tables & Bridges research, Impact Insights development, professional resources, training, and the Community Engagement Impact Conference. Findings will be reported in aggregate or de-identified form.

Verbatim excerpts will be used only when the participant granted optional quotation permission. Careful de-identification will still be necessary.

Risks and direct benefits

There is no payment and no guaranteed direct personal benefit. Foreseeable risks include privacy concerns or professional discomfort when describing workplace practices or experiences. You can reduce these risks by keeping examples general and non-identifying.

What participants should not submit

Do not submit confidential agency information, active case or other criminal justice information, juvenile or resident records, medical information, Social Security numbers, operational intelligence, names, or other identifying details.

Access, service providers, and review status

Study responses, optional contact records, consent records, and pilot feedback are restricted to authorized study administrators.

Lovable provides the site platform, and Supabase provides database services. Their public privacy notices describe their data practices.

This study has not received an IRB or research-ethics review or written determination.

Pilot review feedback

Invited pilot participants may optionally provide separate usability feedback. Pilot feedback does not ask for names, email addresses, or agency names, is stored separately from study responses, and is not included in research exports or findings.

Retention, stopping, and requests

Study response records, consent records, optional contact records, and pilot feedback will be retained for no more than three years after the final report is issued. They will then be deleted or irreversibly de-identified.

You may stop before submitting the study. Questions and withdrawal or deletion requests may be sent to info@tablesandbridges.com. Removal may not be possible after information has been irreversibly de-identified or included in published aggregate results. The site does not currently provide an in-app deletion tool.
